Some Art

Hello, all! I thought I’d share some of my art with you. These were some drawings I did earlier this year and I am really happy with them. I think, as always there’s soooo much room for improvement, but I’m pretty proud of them. At the time I was watching a lot of drawing videos on YouTube, so that helped out a lot, I think. Anyway, here they are:

These are some “realistic” eyes I tried to draw. I think they came out pretty good. I have a lot of trouble figuring out what goes on around the eye in terms of eyelid, lower eyelashes, etc., so if you guys have any tips or tricks, they would be much appreciated!

I drew this one from a real life plant and I’m soooo happy with the main flower. Ignore the pot, which is a total mess! I used different shades of graphite pencils for this one, along with a white graphite pencil, which added that creamy (and unintentional) effect on the drawing.

Love, love, love this one! I think the egg yolk definitely needed to be bigger, but overall I love the shading, the little square of light on the egg, the “broken” lettering. 🙂

This one was my first in this series, so it’s not as good as the others. The angle of her arm is really weird and so is her neck. This was my first time trying to draw a “real” person in a really long time, so I’m actually pretty pleased with how it came out.

This one is my crowning glory of all the people I’ve ever drawn. Definitely could have done better with the symmetry of the eyes and the nose is just awful, but overall (1) it totally looks like a person (2) is amazing compared to anything I’ve ever done before and (3) was drawn from my imagination. I figured a smirk might be easier to draw than a straight serious or smiling mouth, therefore the slightly sassy look. 😉 I also wanted to convey an emotion in her eyes, which I feel came across pretty well, so I’m also satisfied with that.

And that’s it! I hope you all enjoyed. I recently did a pastel drawing which was also really nice, so if I can get a good picture of that, I will post that sometime in the near future.

Love you all!! Keep smiling,

Tell me what you think!
