Hello, world! It feels like forever since I last posted on here, whereas in reality it was only a month……which is way too long anyway 😉 . I thought I’d just give you all a little update on how my life’s looking at the moment and make some promises to see if I can make myself post more often. 🙂
So first off, I’m back in school again, as all of you probably already know. I’m currently taking 5 classes: theater, two history classes, an intro-psychology class and an exercise class. They are all fulfilling the last of my CORE classes, which is super exciting! I’m also currently an undeclared major, but I am planning on declaring before the end of the semester, so I’ll let you all know how that goes later on.
I’m also working during this semester for the first time, which is kind of insane! 🙂 This semester is my easiest so far, though, so it’s a good time to try it out and so far it’s working really well! I’ve kept my summer job (which is an amazing position at a printing/promo box/software company), though I’m only working one full day a week. It’s a great job and it offers a lot of opportunity and I hope to stay on through my undergrad years.
To those of you who don’t know, I still live at home and I recommend it to anyone who is within driving distance of the university you’re studying at. It takes all the stress out of the evenings and it really is great to come home to family every day. All my college friends live away from home and they’re always trying to work, study and pay the rent, bills, etc., and if you can avoid that in your earlier years, I absolutely recommend staying at your family’s place, if it works out for everyone. For me, the situation was easy because I live 20-30 minutes away from Montana State University and I was 16 when I entered as a full time student and there was no way my parents were going to let me live in the dorms or by myself at 16! And besides, unless you have real tension in your family or circumstances you feel really uncomfortable with, why not stay a little longer? Leaving the house at 18 is all fine and dandy, but it doesn’t hurt to wait until you’re 20, 22. Of course, then there are always those who stay till they’re 30…… 😉
Aaaaand I still don’t have my driver’s license. Which kinda sucks. Sometimes it would be nice if I could just drive myself places. But I do hope to get it soon. I am slightly over halfway to fulfilling all the hours I have to log in before I take the test, so I hope to have it maybe before next year…? We’ll see how it goes with school and whatnot.
Other than that, there’s not a whole lot of exciting stuff going on in my life. I did go to the Tetons twice this summer, and I’ll make a post about that soon, complete with pictures. 🙂 Maybe I can get around to posting daily pictures again? Let me know in the comments if you’d like those to become a thing again! I hope to start posting regularly again, at any rate, so keep on the lookout!
I hope you all had an awesome summer! For those of you who are in school: You got this!! You are smarter than you think. Veni, vidi, vici. 🙂
