The Siren of the Sea

The sea grows rude

And raucously loud

As it beats against the rocks.

But could you see,

Through wave and dell,

A silvery back flash?

Ah, yes, it is!

A dolphin’s back,

Crashing through the waves.

But what is that

Upon its back?

A mermaid’s seaweed hair?

Prepare ye men!

And guard against,

The Siren’s fatal tone.

The maiden then,

Drew me down,

Into the deep green sea.

For yet is seems,

Men only dream,

To conquer a siren song
